Hire a UI/UX designer

UI/UX design for apps people use every day.

Good UX is a flow people finish without thinking. Good UI makes it feel premium and clear. I design both, with the empty, loading, error and sold-out states engineering needs.

UI vs UX, and why you want both

UX design decides the structure: what the user needs, the steps, and what happens when something goes wrong. UI design decides how it looks and feels: type, colour, spacing and components. Hiring one person for both keeps the decisions connected.

What you get

Proof

I designed a luxury travel booking app that is live on iPhone, iPad and the web: authentication, search on a map, hotel details, room selection, currency, sold-out states and the booking summary. I also built the Figma design system it runs on, with primitive and semantic tokens on Variables and Modes, components with every state, and the rules for naming, versioning and handoff.

Questions

What does a UI/UX designer do?

A UI/UX designer researches how people use a product, designs the flows and screens, and makes sure the result is clear, consistent and easy to build.

Can you redesign an existing app?

Yes. I usually start by reviewing the current flows and screens, then propose a direction on one key screen before redesigning the rest.

What tools do you use?

Figma for design, prototyping and design systems, and Jira for handoff and design review with engineering.
